Application Design Documentation Menu

When you select the Documentation tab from the primary Application Design screen, the Application Design Documentation Menu is displayed, as shown in the figure below.

Application Design Documentation Menu

The Application Design Documentation menu options are grouped by function.

Print Technical Documentation allows printing of domains, records and fields, work fields, processes, and named resources. For each type, you will be shown a Scan screen that allows you to select those items that you wish to print. Items can also be selected based on the date they were last modified or, in the case or processes, by type (input, output, etc.). A standard disposition allows you to print either to the screen or on hard copy.

Documentation Analysis provides visibility of any items or options in your application without documentation.

Documentation Utilities includes a maintenance function to edit only process descriptions as well as a utility to print data input forms.

Options include:

Items Without Documentation generates a list of design elements (domains, files, fields and work fields) without documentation.

Options Without Documentation generates a list of options (optional processes invoked from menus) that have no documentation.

Edit Processes Descriptive allows you to view and edit the descriptive names for every process in the application.

Print Input Forms produces a report of interactive images found in input processes. The images are formatted as they would appear on a user's screen and can be 'cut and pasted' into forms that can be used for data entry.
